ELSHAMAA FARMHOUSE

Concept Design (2021)

A successful businessman and father running multiple farms seeks a compact farmhouse. This multi-functional space should serve as a central hub for overseeing farm operations, hosting family gatherings, and act as a prototype for future farmhouses across his agricultural enterprise. The design must tackle several challenges: withstanding all weather conditions, optimizing energy efficiency through proper U-value assessment and sun orientation, seamlessly integrating with the natural environment, considering prevailing winds, and achieving a balance between a unique architectural experience and a simple, repeatable prototype for future construction. Additionally, due to the open farmland and potential security concerns, the design should prioritize privacy and security measures.
