Design Competition (2011)

Four families with a shared dream of living close by pooled their resources to purchase land and build a unique residential building. Each family would have their own private apartment, but the focus was on the shared areas, designed to foster connection and solidify their social bonds. However, transforming a standard apartment layout into a functional "courtyard house" with complete privacy for each unit presented a design challenge. The solution involved a meticulous analysis of the existing floorplan to maximize efficiency, prioritizing essential spaces and eliminating any underutilized areas.
